Preserve Access to Health Care and Food for Families

“What you do for the least among you, you do for Jesus.” - Matthew 25: 34-40

Washington’s Catholic bishops urge Congress to protect the dignity of life by rejecting proposed budget cuts to Medicaid and SNAP. These cuts would strip health care from over 7 million Americans and reduce food assistance for 40 million low-income individuals, including 16 million children. The bishops call on Catholics to advocate for policies that uphold access to health care and food, especially for pregnant women, working families, and those living in poverty.
