Archbishop Paul D. Etienne was born to a large Catholic family in Tell City, Indiana. He is one of six children and has two brothers who are Catholic priests, as well as a sister who is a Benedictine nun.
Archbishop Etienne studied at Bellarmine College in Louisville, Kentucky; the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota; and the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, where he earned a Licentiate of Spiritual Theology in 1995.
On June 27, 1992, he was ordained a priest in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, where he served as pastor of several parishes, vocation director and vice-rector of the Bishop Simon Brute College Seminary.
On October 19, 2009, Archbishop Etienne was appointed bishop of the Diocese of Cheyenne by Pope Benedict XVI. He served there until October 4, 2016, when he was appointed Archbishop of Anchorage by Pope Francis. He was appointed Archbishop of Seattle on September 3, 2019 after serving as Coadjutor Archbishop of Seattle from June 7, 2019.

Bishop Joseph Tyson was born on October 16 in Moses Lake, Washington, and at an early age moved to Seattle with his family. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1989. His degrees include a Bachelor of Arts in Russian and Eastern European Studies as well as Editorial Journalism from the University of Washington, a Master’s in International Relations from the University of Washington, a Master of Divinity from The Catholic University of America, and an honorary Doctorate of Letters from Saint Martin’s University in Lacey.
In 2005, he was consecrated Auxiliary Bishop of Seattle and named Vicar General. From 2008 to 2011, he served as Superintendent of Catholic Schools. He was installed as Bishop of Yakima in 2011 and has served the Church through a number of national Catholic organizations and initiatives, including the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC), Pastoral Care of Migrants, Refugees and Travelers (PCMRT) of the USCCB, Catholic Relief Services (CRS), Cross Catholic Outreach, and the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD). He currently serves as a member of the USCCB’s Committee for Cultural Diversity and Communications Committee, and as Chair of the USCCB’s Catholic Communications Campaign and Pastoral Care for Migrants, Refugees and Travelers.

Bishop Thomas Anthony Daly is a native of San Francisco and is the seventh Bishop of Spokane, WA.
Bishop Daly was born on April 30, 1960 and was baptized at Our Lady of the Visitacion Church where he also attended grade school.
He graduated from Sacred Heart High School, an Archdiocesan Boys prep school under the direction of the Brothers of the Christian Schools. He then attended the University of San Francisco. Following graduation from U.S.F., Bishop Daly entered St. Patrick's Seminary in Menlo Park, California.
Bishop Daly was ordained to the priesthood by Archbishop John R. Quinn at the Cathedral of the Assumption in San Francisco on May 9, 1987. He served five years as a parochial vicar of Our Lady of Loretto in Novato. In July of 1992, Archbishop Quinn appointed Bishop Daly as a teacher and Chaplain at Marin Catholic in Kentfield.
In 1994, Bishop Daly began summer studies at Boston College. In October of 1995, he was appointed pastor of St Cecilia Parish in Lagunitas and St Mary's Parish in Nicasio, both located in Marin County, while continuing to serve on the faculty of Marin Catholic. In 1996, Bishop earned his Master of Educational Administration from Boston College. In 1999, Archbishop William J. Levada transferred Bishop Daly from his parish assignments and appointed him Associate Director of the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) as well as Chaplain to St. Vincent's School for Boys in San Rafael.
In 2001, he was appointed Vocation Director of the Archdiocese of San Francisco and in 2003, he became President of Marin Catholic. He continued in both roles until his ordination as Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of San Jose, California in May of 2011. He was ordained by Bishop Patrick J. McGrath, with Archbishop George H. Niderauer and Bishop George Thomas as co-consecrators.
In September of 2013, Archbishop Salvatore Cordelione named Bishop Daly the interim President/Rector of St. Patrick's Seminary and University, where he served for one academic year.
On March 12, 2015, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Spokane, and he was installed on May 20, 2015, at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes. Throughout his years as a bishop, he has served on various committees of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), including Clergy, Consecrated Life and Vocations, and Home Missions. He completed a three-year term as Chair of the Committee on Catholic Education in November 2024 and continues to serve as a member on that committee. He also serves as Episcopal Advisor to Serra Club of the United States.

Bishop Eusebio Elizondo, M.Sp.S. is a native of Monterrey, Mexico.
He received a bachelor's degree in theology and a canon law degree from the Gregorian University in Rome. In 1984, he was ordained a priest of the Missionaries of the Holy Spirit, a religious congregation of men consecrated to God for the service of the Church, who provide spiritual direction for priests and consecrated religious.
He was assigned to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Bothell, Washington in the year 2000 to provide ministry to the growing Hispanic community in Western Washington upon the request of Archbishop Alex Brunett. He was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Seattle by Pope Benedict XVI on May 12, 2005 and was ordained by Archbishop Brunett on June 6, 2005.
Bishop Elizondo is the first Hispanic bishop in Seattle. He is appointed Vicar General, Vicar for Hispanic Ministries and Vicar for Vocations of the Archdiocese.

Bishop Frank Schuster was born in Mount Vernon, Washington, to John and Virginia Schuster. At age 6 he, along with his parents and two siblings, Carolyn and John, moved to Maple Valley, where they lived along the Cedar River. He enjoyed his family-focused, Catholic upbringing and admits to being a bit of a rascal as a child and while attending Kennedy Catholic High School, where his father was the principal for more than 20 years.
At the University of Washington, Bishop Schuster earned his B.A. in psychology, but spent most of his time at the Newman Center in peer ministry. After college he attended Mundelein Seminary where he received his Bachelor of Sacred Theology and his Master of Divinity.
In addition to serving as auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of Seattle, Bishop Schuster is the Southern Regional Bishop for the South King, Pierce, Olympic, South Sound and Southern Deaneries. He also serves Archbishop Etienne as Chair of the Board of Trustees at Catholic Community Services/Catholic Housing Services of Western Washington and Vicar for Multicultural Ministry. Nationally, he serves as Bishop Promoter of Stella Maris for the USCCB.

Jean leads advocacy efforts and represents the bishops of the Archdiocese of Seattle, the Diocese of Spokane, and the Diocese of Yakima on public policy matters. She has 25 years experience in state and federal advocacy, including 11 years representing the Diocese of Salt Lake City, and has joined Georgetown University’s Initiative on Catholic Social Thought and Public Life as a fellow for the spring 2026 semester. Jean received her J.D. from the University of Utah.
